Smoke alarms can be the most important device in every home. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has required at minimum that a smoke detector be installed in every bedroom, hallway and on each floor of your home. Smoke alarms should be tested at least once a month. The NFPA recommends replacing smoke detectors every 7 to 10 years. We can provide smoke detectors that come with a 10 year battery. When these alarm batteries become low, the alarms should be replaced right away.
